About CNCP's Staff

Julia K. Gulas, RN, BFA, MS.

Sandra Gans and I are sisters and our lives very much paralled each other. Both are nurses and both married to federal agents which required relocating at times. I graduated from Fairmont State College for Nursing, went on to get an Art degree from UNC Greensboro and then back in the field of rehab, getting a Masters Degree in Rehabiliation Studies at East Carolina University. During my 36 years of nursing experience, I have worked in various hospitals in medical surgical nursing. Other areas include long term care nursing, utilization review, telephone triage for an HMO, discharge planning and MDS coordinator.

I have spent a lot of time doing research on care planning and was always disappointed with the generic, bland and often useless care plans available. In order to make them meaningful and individualized, I had to create my own which was very time consuming. It is my hope that this effort will be of benefit to our customers.

Sandra Gans, RN

I graduated from St. Mary’s School of Nursing in 1966, attended Fairmont State College, certified in Interventions by the Johnson Institute, and completed certificate program for Cleveland Cognitive Therapy Center. During my 37 years of RN experience in the areas of Psychiatry, Chemical Dependency, Administrative Intake Coordinator for Psychiatry & Chemical Dependency, Medicaid-Waiver Program for Aged & Disabled Nurse, Medical/Surgical, Pediatrics, Physician’s Office Nurse, Nurse Recruiter, Home Health, and Homemaker Agency Nurse. My husband’s employment required us to relocate frequently during my nursing career. I have worked as an RN in nine states and have worked in all types of hospitals from premier metropolitan teaching hospitals in Boston, Philadelphia, and Cleveland to, state, county, and small community hospitals. My volunteer work includes Parish Nurse Coordinator for my church, RN/counselor in a Free Clinic for the uninsured, and board member for a Free Clinic.
